Who Should Avoid Cold Plunge Therapy?
Cold plunge therapy offers many benefits, but it may not be suitable for everyone. Avoid cold plunge therapy if you:
- Have severe cardiovascular conditions, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, or a history of heart attacks.
- Are pregnant (consult your doctor first if you are in the early stages).
- Suffer from Raynaud’s disease or severe cold intolerance.
- Have open wounds, skin conditions, or recent surgery that may be aggravated by cold exposure.
- Experience uncontrolled seizures or have a history of fainting.
- Have an acute illness, fever, or infection.
- Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
